Hi there!  

My genuine passion for photography began about 20 years ago, just prior to my first job as a newspaper photographer.   Soon afterward, the photo editor said to me, "You've got the eye!" encouraging me to start my own studio.  Quick as a blink,  I went from snapping images of our three goofy / beautiful daughters, to starting Hume Photography!

Since then, my images have been displayed in homes, galleries, businesses, The Detroit Free Press and international publications.

As an artist, my goal is to capture the hidden beauty, as well as the obvious.  With portraits, highlighting the personality is essential for capturing 'the look'.  With landscape art, my eye is naturally drawn to the hidden treasures.

I look forward to each portrait session.  I've met so many kind, funny and extraordinary people, and had such fun in the midst of it all!
